I love the simplicity of this set of 9 ribbon-tie plates from Burke Decor.
The pierced porcelain plates are food safe, but were designed to hang on the wall as well.

I love these Sea Life plates by Thomas Paul ($36 for four). It seems that the nautical trend has plenty more incarnations to go before it runs its course.

I ran across this great organization idea on sfgirlbybay. A flea market vendor was displaying vintage earrings in muffin tins.
They'd be great for necklaces, bracelets and broaches too.
And if you find pretty muffin tins, you could leave one out on a dresser.
Or just stack them on your closet shelf.
I have to admit that I go to Target more than once a week. It's conveniently located on my way home from work and it's inexpensive designer goods sing to me like a retail siren.
This weekend, I went in to the store to look at the Cynthia Rowley patio chairs I discovered online last Friday. I found them and then some.
There were two isles of pretty, summery outdoor accessories, from all-weather seat cushions in bright stripes to pretty fruit-themed melamine dining sets.
Many of the items are not available for sale online, so hurry to a store near you before this stuff is all gone.

I've been trying to make a habit of cruising Etsy during my Thursday lunch hours. I've been concentrating on art, but today I perused the ceramics selection.

I've been collecting plates for a number of years, but I've always been daunted by the task of putting them together in a fabulous wall display like the one pictured here.
It just seems like getting the design right would be down-right impossible.

Kohl's isn't exactly Target, but the chain is taking a huge step in the right direction with their Simply Vera Wang line. I've bought a few items from the clothing line which have been well-made and extremely flattering.
Today, I checked in on the new SVW bedding line to find not only beautiful sheets and comforters, but some pretty significant mark-downs.
I really like this bright, springy Poppy Comforter Set and the sophisticated City Night Comforter Set (Queen size on both now marked down to $249.99).
I'm also really impressed by the styling in both product photos. I love that tufted white bed paired with bright yellow and orange accents and the black block print paired with the minimalist platform bed.

I'm in the middle of a massive kitchen overhaul. My tiny 1920s kitchen was just stripped to the bare bones to be replaced with a vintagey-modern new-and-improved version of itself (complete with dishwasher!). It's going to be a long two weeks of microwave pizza and cereal, but I know it will all be worth it.
I haven't really gotten around to thinking about how I will decorate my new gourmet retreat. But you know how when you've got something on your mind, you start to notice it everywhere you look? I'm experiencing that phenomenon with all things kitchen.

Growing my own herbs is one of the great joys of spring in Texas. Our springs are as warm as some people's summers, and I can have an entire bed of basil as high as my waist by the time June rolls around.
These Herb Bowls from Crate and Barrel reminded me that it's time to buy my seeds and get my garden growing.
Etsy continues its reign as my absolute favorite place to shop for art and home decor. I only wish I had more time to peruse their many fabulous stores.

Urban Outfitters is quickly becoming my favorite place to browse for cheap, quirky accessories and reasonably priced furniture. Not every sticks-and-bricks location stocks a lot of home decor items, so it's best to check their site frequently.
I surfed over this morning and found some very cool stuff in their "What's New" section. Here are my favorites: 
Paint-by-Number a total steal at $32. I've seen this in store. It's small, but striking.

It had never really occurred to me to decorate with a mobile. In my mind, mobiles were firmly entrenched in the realm of elementary school classrooms and nurseries.
But this Flock of Swallows mobile from Roost is so elegant it has completely changed my perspective. I could easily imagine it in front of a large window, or in my home office.
Each bird is hand carved and hung from the branch with monofilament. So I was surprised to see that it's only $140.
A few weeks ago, I posted that DwellStudio put out a line of baby furniture and bedding for Target. Well, now they have bedding collections for adults. Hooray!
